TicketDefender is a newly released iPhone App that enables drivers to protect themselves from inaccurate speeding tickets by tracking and
reporting the drivers’ vehicle speeds. As a user drives their vehicle, the speed, time of day, and GPS location is automatically recorded
with TicketDefender. If the driver is pulled over for speeding they can simply click the ‘Press When Ticketed’ button within the App, and
the encrypted, watermarked Speed Report plus a password will be sent to the driver's email address. The driver can then go to
www.TicketDefender.net and click on the "Get Report" button, enter their Username and Password
to download the corresponding Map Report. These two reports from TicketDefender can be presented in court to protect drivers from “the officer’s
word against mine” situations.
The two TicketDefender reports include the vehicle’s make and model, license number, time and date of the recorded speed. The Speed Report
shows the recorded speed (in mph or km/h) every 3-5 seconds and the location in latitude & longitude at each recorded speed. The Map Report
shows the street view of all recorded speeds. If these reports show the speed indicated on the ticket is different from the speed shown on
the TicketDefender reports, then the driver has a valid "not guilty" argument. These reports can then be shared with employers or courts in
the case of a discrepancy.
Radar can often clock incorrect vehicle speeds (see “Radar Error” page) causing an
unwarranted ticket, but until the release of TicketDefender there has been no way for drivers prove that they were driving at a speed that
differs from the speed stated on a ticket. TicketDefender can be a valuable tool, both for fighting speeding tickets and for proof of speed
at the time of a car accident. TicketDefender is certainly a must have for any driver or commuter. It is particularly beneficial for individuals
whose livelihood depends on a positive driving record including truckers, taxi and bus drivers.
The TicketDefender App can be used for multiple vehicles including company and spouse vehicles. TicketDefender can also multitask with other
functions, so it will continue to track speeds while making calls or utilizing additional applications.
